The springs are rich in dissolved minerals and carbon dioxide, which are particularly effective in the treatment of diseases of the digestive system and metabolic disorders. The mineral waters are used for drinking cures, baths and the extraction of medical salts. The spa has attracted many famous visitors, including J.W.Goethe, F.Schiller, J.S.Bach, R.Wagner, F.Chopin, F.Liszt, J.Brahms and others. TREBON
Another historic town reserve, also a health and recreational resort. The town was founded back in the 13th century, and part of its early 16th century fortifications has been preserved to present. The old Trebon Castle was replaced by a Renaissance Chateau. Trebon also has a rarity - two-stage Gothic church. The Trebon district has been included in the UNESCO international network of biospheric funds because of its unspoilt nature.
Trebon is also a well-known spa town. It offers treatment of the motoric system, after-injury conditions etc. The key treatment method is baths in peat, a natural material abundant in the vicinity of the city. The wide range of spa programs includes strictly curative procedures, as well as relaxation and reconditioning treatment.
