The hotel is a decent property with excellent location of about 3 minutes walk from Wenceslas Square, the very city centre, but still placed in a quiet side street to offer quality accommodation in calm and peaceful environment. The building dates back to 1925, the period of so called “first republic” starting from the first year of Czechoslovakia's existence, which gave the hotel its name. Easy access to/from the city centre and indoor parking make the hotel a value also for independent travellers. Its decent seminar rooms are an option for small corporate or private functions. Availability of babysitting facilities and playroom make it a good solution for families with children.
