An important ski centre in the Giant Mountains, the name of this place comes from its furnace for non-ferrous metals, which were once mined here. Pec pod Snezkou lies just at the foot of the Giant Mountains' highest mountain, the Snezka (1.602 m above the sea level). The winter sports centre for downhill skiing provides 10 lifts and pistes of various difficulty levels.
